General
What is OMMS?
OMMS, made by buildnboost, is billboard and hoarding (OOH) management software for outdoor media companies in India. It keeps hoarding inventory, proposals, campaigns, GST billing, collections, vendor and landlord payments, field crews and accounts in one system, with a mobile app for crews and a portal for clients.
Who is OMMS for?
Hoarding owners, outdoor advertising agencies and groups that run several media companies. It suits teams that sell sites, bill clients under GST, pay printers, mounters and landlords, and send crews to the field.
Does OMMS work for Indian GST and TDS?
Yes. Invoices carry GSTINs, place of supply and IGST or CGST/SGST; the GST Report and GSTR-1 report summarise outward supplies; and TDS deducted by clients is tracked until you mark it collected.
Is there a mobile app for field staff?
Yes. The OMMS Android app shows each person’s mounting and monitoring tasks, takes proof photos and videos at the site, records GPS attendance, and shows salary and an end-of-day report.
Can clients log in to see their campaigns?
Yes. Each client or agency can get a portal login that shows only their own campaigns, invoices, payments and dues.
Can we run more than one company in OMMS?
Yes. A group can keep several companies in one OMMS account. People switch between the companies they belong to, and sites can be shared between companies.
Media inventory
Can I export my hoarding list as a PowerPoint for clients?
Yes. Select sites in Media and export a PowerPoint with each site’s photo, size, location and price. Large exports run in the background and you get a download link when the file is ready.
Does OMMS handle leased and partnership sites?
Yes. Every site records its ownership: own, lease, partnership or agency. Leased sites link to a landlord, so rent due and payments are tracked under Rent.
Can two companies in our group sell the same site?
Yes. A site can be shared to other companies in your group. The other company sees it in its own catalogue and its bookings block the shared dates.
Campaigns
What campaign statuses does OMMS use?
FOC, Booked, Executed, Billed, Partially Paid, TDS Pending, Closed and Extended. Each is a tab on the Campaigns list, so you can see at a glance what needs billing or collecting.
Can I bill printing and mounting separately from display?
Yes. Each booked site carries separate display, printing, mounting and removal charges, and invoices can be generated or split to match how the client wants to be billed.
How do I extend a running campaign?
Use Extend on the campaign. You can copy the sites as they are or change dates and sites, and email the client contact about the extension.
Proposals
Does the client need an OMMS login to see a proposal?
No. The client opens a secure download link from the email and gets the Excel and PowerPoint files.
Can I see which proposals were sent?
Yes. Each proposal shows its status, recipients, CC and BCC, the number of sites and when it was sent.
Billing and GST
Does OMMS create GST-compliant invoices?
OMMS generates tax invoices with your GSTIN, the client’s GSTIN, place of supply and IGST or CGST/SGST, and downloads them as PDF. Your accountant should confirm the format meets your filing needs.
Can one PO cover several campaigns?
Yes. A client PO can be linked to more than one campaign, and invoices can be generated in bulk from POs.
Can I raise a proforma first?
Yes. Proformas are separate from tax invoices and can be raised from a campaign before the final bill.
Collections
What is PO Pending?
PO Pending lists campaigns that are booked but have no client purchase order yet, with the display, printing and mounting value still uncovered. It is usually the first queue the accounts team clears.
Does OMMS track TDS deducted by clients?
Yes. TDS is recorded with each payment and appears in the TDS queue until you mark it collected.
Purchase and vendors
How do I know which sites still need a printer or mounter?
Vendor PO Pending lists every booked site with printing, mounting or removal charges that has no vendor PO yet, so nothing is missed between sales and operations.
Can one vendor PO cover several campaigns?
Yes. Create a merged PO to order work for several sites or campaigns from one vendor at once.
Rent and landlords
Does OMMS remind me about site rent?
Yes. Rent periods are tracked for each leased site, and OMMS sends an alert when a period ends so the agreement can be renewed. Rent due appears under Rent → Outstanding until you record the payment against the landlord.
Can one landlord own several of our sites?
Yes. A landlord record lists all the sites you lease from that owner, with their bank details and payment history, so you can pay and track rent per site or per landlord.
Field operations
How do mounting crews send proof of posting?
Crews open the task in the OMMS mobile app at the site and upload at least two photos or short videos. Each photo is stamped with the GPS coordinates, mock-location apps are flagged, and the task cannot be completed without a location.
Are Monitor visits created automatically?
Yes. Saving a campaign creates Monitor visits for its start and end dates and for any extra monitor days you set. A daily job fills in any that are missing, so crews always have the next visit in their list.
Staff, attendance and location
How does attendance work for field staff?
Staff check in from the OMMS app with GPS; the location and address are saved with the day’s attendance. Managers can also mark present, absent, half day or holiday from the roster.
Can managers see where field staff went during the day?
Yes. The Staff timeline shows each tracked person’s route for a chosen day with distance, drives, stops and stop addresses, and it can be exported to Excel.
Accounting
Which voucher types does OMMS support?
Sales, purchase, payment, receipt, journal, contra, and credit and debit notes. Invoices, vendor bills and payments create their vouchers automatically; the rest are entered under Accounting → Vouchers, and every voucher downloads as a PDF.
Can I close a financial year in OMMS?
Yes. Year Closing closes the financial year and carries balances forward, after you have reconciled the bank and checked the Trial Balance. Invoice and PO numbering restarts for the new financial year.
Do I still need separate accounting software?
OMMS covers vouchers, ledgers, books, bank reconciliation, GST reports and year closing. Whether you also keep another package depends on how your accountant files; Excel exports make it easy to share.
Reports
Can OMMS prepare GSTR-1 data?
Yes. The GSTR-1 report lists outward supplies with the receiver’s GSTIN, place of supply, SAC, taxable value and tax, and exports to Excel for filing.
Can I see profit per hoarding site?
Yes. Media Reports shows days booked, utilisation, revenue, cost and profit for each site over the period you choose.
Client portal
Can a client see other clients’ data in the portal?
No. A portal user sees only the campaigns, invoices and payments that belong to their own company. Your internal notes, costs, vendors and other clients never appear in the portal.
Can agencies use the portal too?
Yes. Agencies get the same kind of login as clients. They see the campaigns booked through them, with invoices, payments and dues, and can download their invoice PDFs whenever they need them.
Notifications
Can each person choose how they are alerted?
Yes. In Notifications, each person picks the channels — in-app, email, WhatsApp or push — for each kind of alert, such as payments, campaigns, tasks and rent. Notification history keeps a record of what was sent.
Does OMMS send WhatsApp reminders?
Yes, for people who opt in with a verified number. WhatsApp is used for payment reminders, invoices sent, campaign and licence expiry, rent period endings and task updates.
Roles and security
Can I undo a deleted campaign or invoice?
Yes. Deleted records go to Trash, grouped by type, where you can restore them or delete them permanently.
Can one login manage several companies?
Yes. Users linked to more than one company in the group switch between them from the top bar, and each company’s data stays separate.
